What is this new fangled technology you kids are usin these days? With your facebooks, twitters, and now this? Madness!
There’s nothing out there. Absolutely nothing. Was very close to a job at the PCC Library, but the California budget crisis screwed that opportunity. Right now I’m trying to pin down a friend who’s starting a coffee cart. He’s in the middle of a move, starting up a business, and taking care of three kids under the age of 4 and he doesn’t have the time to call me? Come on! Hahaha. Jk. But I need a money…

I remember when this movie was merely an announcement. I was freakin’ stoked! Michael Cera and Jack Black starring? Harold Ramis directing? Hell yeah! Well, the wait is over and I saw it aaaaand I was a little disappointed. The movie was incredibly hilarious and Michael Cera stole every scene he was in, but the plot was scattered and jokes fell flat more frequently than I would have liked.
There were potty jokes that were often more of a miss than a hit and I expect more from a Judd Apatow produced comedy. The distinct senses of humor from Jack Black, Michael Cera, and the other actors didn’t mix too well. There were some great jokes, but the cast didn’t have the comedic spark that was needed in order for this movie to succeed.
In a nutshell: Year One is a hilarious movie, but not necessarily a good one.

Since Up is out, I figured now would be as good a time as any to make a list of my favorite Pixar films. I haven’t seen Up yet, so don’t get pissed when you don’t see it on here.
1) WALL-E
This movie was freakin mind bottling (you know, when things get so crazy that your thoughts get wrapped up in a bottle! Blades Of Glory reference). WALL-E had great humor, amazing CGI, an exciting storyline, and a nice little dark undertone. Not to mention the fact that this movie was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars. Not just Best Animated Movie.
2) Toy Story 2
Who would have thought the sequel would be better than the original? This movie had a crazier plot and was even more hilarious than the first one. I seriously can’t wait for Toy Story 3. I’m sure they’ll do a wonderful job with that one as well.
3) Toy Story
The very first feature length Pixar movie and a masterpiece. This movie was brilliant and hilarious. I really can’t say much more. I love this movie a lot, though.
4) Finding Nemo
A very funny movie and a big hit at the box office. One really doesn’t need to explain themselves for liking this movie. It seems that everyone has a favorite character(s). For me, it’s those crabs. “Heeeeyyyy!”
5) A Bug’s Life
Another freakin hilarious movie that’s filled with dazzling images. One of my most overplayed VHS tapes when I was young.
6) Monsters Inc.
I really need to rewatch this movie. It was hilarious and had an incredible plot, as I remember. I think I have this movie around the house somewhere…
7) The Incredibles
Another wonderful movie I need to rewatch. Not as funny as some of the other Pixar movies, but still a great motion picture!
8) Cars
I thought this movie was just okay. A lot of people loved it and I wasn’t one of them. It had a few funny moments, but Larry the Cable Guy irritates me. A lot of things in this movie irritated me.
9) Ratatouille
Everyone was Hannah Montana bananas over this one, but I hated it. It wasn’t funny or clever like other Pixar films and it just didn’t do it for me. There was maybe one laugh out loud moment for me, but that’s all. The highlight of that movie: the short that came before it with the UFO. THAT was hilarious!
So yeah, that’s my list. Once I see Up, this list will change. I guarantee it.
Okay, so I figured I’d start a movie review thing on here. That’d be pretty cool, right? People would read it, right? Right?
Movie Review #1:
Resident Evil: Degeneration

This is the latest installment of the Resident Evil movie franchise and it was straight to DVD. With that said, I thought it was awesome! Way better than the live action Resident Evil movies for sure. The movie kept the same feeling as the video games: cheesy synthesizer music, subpar voice acting, and cheesy dialogue. The movie DID have a solid storyline and freaking sweet CGI. I don’t know if I’d buy it, but it’s definitely worth a watch if you’re bored or curious.

It’s 1:45 in the morning and I need to stay awake. I ate at 11:30 and I need 3 hours before digesting food, apparently. I will not, I repeat, will NOT get back to the same weight I was in high school. So I shall wait! Perhaps till the sun rises! Or perhaps by a fortnight! No, that’s far too long. I need my sleep to funtion properly in life.
Oh snap, I totally forgot. I have a Speech presentation or something due tomorrow. I could prepare for that. But my main obstacle with that is I just don’t want to.
Dude, psyched to shoot this weekend. I don’t know what scenes, but so help me God, I am finishing this movie soon!
Crap, I should probably get a job soon. I should call Zumiez back… Money is awesome and I currently have a lack thereof. The PCC Library thing might work out, but they said they’re limited on hours in the summer. Blast!
I seriously need a new phone. Buttons don’t function properly anymore and a chunk of it just snapped off. It’s still relatively functional, but I want a new one. Specifically a phone away from Gay-Mobile. That’s T-Mobile for all that aren’t “in the know.”
Speaking of seriously needing new things, I need a new camera. Not a new video camera cause that’s working fine. And it’d better be for a long while! I’m speaking, of course, about a new point and shoot still camera. I lost my other one, but I’m not broken up about it. It was cheap and was only 7.2 Megapixels. Yuck!
Okay, that’s all I feel that I need to post right about now. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Come on, why can’t there just be a Tumblr mobile feature! It’d make life SO much easier! Okay, that’s all.
I haven’t been on here for a while, have I? Alright, so here’s what’s going on:
My Movie:
-I’ve shot about a third of it.
-I still need to write at least 30 more pages.
-We’re taking a break on shooting, but hopefully we can start again in a couple weeks.
-From the footage we’ve shot, the movie looks VERY good.
Other Movie Stuff:
-Writing what could be the anti-Camp Rock/High School Musical. I think what I’ve written is funny, but I have yet to expose it to others.
-Drawing and writing my own graphic novel. It’s essentially an intricate storyboard for a sweet movie idea I had, so now I’m just gonna map it out into a full on graphic novel.
Below Average:
-Decided to make four more episodes but I’m not sure if I’m gonna continue after that.
-It’s hard to find time to do it while I’m shooting the movie.
School:
-Sucks, but it’s almost over.
Everything Else:
-Sarah and I are doing awesomely.
-Bought tickets to see Blink-182 in September
That’s pretty much it. I’ll try to keep writing. I won’t promise anything…
People say that making a movie is one of the toughest things in the world. In all honesty, it’s going pretty awesome. We’re shooting it at our own convenience and everyone’s on board to do it. Everyone’s been really supportive of me and this movie and I thank everyone. This movie is only a small percentage shot, but I have a grand feeling about the rest of the movie. It’s good times.
